Reading Support

Develop stronger comprehension, close-reading, annotation, vocabulary, and literary-analysis skills. Students learn how to move beyond simply reading the words on a page and begin recognizing important ideas, patterns, and details.

Writing, Essay & College Essay Support

Receive guidance at every stage of the writing process—from understanding the assignment and generating ideas to creating a thesis, organizing evidence, revising, and proofreading. The goal is not simply to improve one essay but to help students become stronger writers.
College and Personal Essays: Develop an authentic, focused essay that reflects the student’s experiences and voice. Support may include brainstorming, organization, revision, sentence-level editing, and final polishing.

Test Preparation: PSAT, SAT & ACT

Prepare for classroom assessments, standardized tests, and other important exams through targeted skill review, guided practice, and personalized strategies.
In addition to tutoring services, I offer guidance preparing for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT. Preparing for these tests can be a long and arduous process because the tests measure skills that are developed over an extensive period of time. I can work individually or in small groups to help students develop the strategies to do well on the PSAT, SAT, or ACT.
